GERMAN SHARES FIRM AFTER WALL ST GAINS

Share prices are firmer in Frankfurt
this morning as sentiment is
underpinned by last night's recovery
and firmer close on Wall Street and a
positive outlook from Apple. Today's
ECB meeting is also awaited, although
no change in interest rates is
anticipated. The Dax index is up
11.22 at 4,220.04.
But Infineon is bucking the trend and
falling despite the positive newsflow
out of the US. Instead, the stock is
down after Q4 earnings of 211m euros
missed expectations and expected sales
of 1.82bn euros were also weaker than
anticipated.
